Moshe Kahlon, the former Likud minister who launched the Kulanu party announced the name of the first woman on his list, Kiryat Shmona Councilwoman Yifat Sasha-Biton. He reports that she was successful in education, and as a councilwoman, and the 29-year-old candidate is receiving her doctorate in education.
Leading all other parties, Kahlon announced there will be eight women on his lineup based on the formula women will receive two of every five slots in the first 20 names on the list.
Also already mentioned on his lineup are former Israeli Ambassador to the US Dr. Michael Oren and Israel Prize laureate Eli Alaluf.
Polls show that Kahlon’s party will receive 8-10 seats in the elections for the 20th Knesset.
