The city is going to permit paid parking on a number of streets in the Emek Refaim area of the capital to ease conditions for visiting motorists.
Some are streets limited to residency parking today will accommodate paid parking between 07:00-18:00. From 18:00, parking will be for residents only and any vehicle without a parking permit sticker will receive a summons. Today, paid parking for visitors continues until 20:00 but that will be curtailed to facilitate conditions for residents.
The decision to implement the change followed a number of meetings between residents and area merchants together with city parking officials. The final approval for the new arrangements is pending. City officials hope the new signs will be posted by the end of January 2015.
