Two days ago, police received information regarding a 19-year-old resident of Shuafat, who was planning an act of terrorism. Border police have been involved in an intensive effort to locate the suspect. That effort concluded on Tuesday morning at a security checkpoint.
A male answering the description of the suspect was detected at the Shuafat Checkpoint as he tried entering the capital. A knife was found in his knapsack and he was placed under arrest and sent for interrogation..
He was turned over to the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet). Officials report his arrest averted yet another Islamic terror attack in the capital.
