Tourism Minister (Yisrael Beitenu) Dr. Uzi Landau, 73, announced he is joining the growing number of politicians who have decided to leave politics.

Landau, who hold a doctorate from M.I.T., has been serving in Knesset since 1984, does not expect to be tapped by party leader Avigdor Lieberman for the new lineup list for the 20th Knesset. He preempted any such possibility with his announced retirement on Sunday, 6 Teves.
