Jerusalem Chief Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar visited the Knesset kitchen on Sunday 6 Teves to check the kashrus in that facility. The rav was accompanied by Rabbi Yaakov Ruchamkin, who heads the kashrus department in the Jerusalem Rabbinate. Also taking part in the visit was Knesset Rav Rabbi Alexander Hochman, and other Knesset kashrus officials.
Rav Amar checked the ovens, cooking equipment, walk-in refrigerators, storage facilities and other areas involved in the storage and preparation of food. At the conclusion Rav Amar was full of praise and when meeting MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Eliezer Moses he stated the Knesset kitchen one of the most kosher kitchens he has visited.
The Knesset kitchen has a Jerusalem Rabbinate Mehadrin kashrus certification.

So at the Knesset what goes in their mouths is kosher, too bad they can’t make what comes out of their mouths kosher as well.
This story explains why EY is going broke, is running budget deficits and has such a large bureaucracy. How many Rav hamachshir do they need for the Knesset? These are legislators who serve part time and are supposed to buy their own meals when not in session. Like most other public mosdos, its another example of political patronage gone wild and political hacks appointing rabbonim who cannot get a job in the private sector to “supervise” a kitchen which traditionally overspends its allocated budget by millions of NIS>
