There is disagreement among rabbonim of the Shas party Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael regarding how to deal with Eli Yishai, who this week announced he is leaving Shas and has since launched his own political party. In a nationally televised media event Yishai earlier in the week announced his party.
Some of the rabbonim are of the opinion that they should simply ignore Yishai while others feels the proper response is to confront him for his daring to break away and form another party. The Torah council has not yet made a final decision.
Some fear that attacking Yishai may hurt Shas in the eyes of the tzibur while others feel it is essential in light of what he did. There are already some who are comparing Yishai to Rabbi Chaim Amsellem, who broke away from Shas and launched a party too.

Another Shas breakaway becomes ‘Ois Erlich’: at least he’s now in good company! Rav Amnon Yitchak, Rabbi Amsalem and Now Eli Yishai!
My Buba always says we have to trust our Rabbanim, and that will bring moshiach
I agree with your Buba but I just don’t know which of thew Rabbanim to trust when they say the opposite thing!

No comparison to either of the other candidates. YISHEI was a “ben bayis” at the home of Maran.
HONEST QUESTION should be:: what can be done with Deri making peace with Yishei.

That’s lashon Horah.
I completely don’t have a side here. But what your saying is clearly against our fundamental beliefs.
does anyone know what the issues are. Why is he breaking off. is it politics or something about what’s best for the public at large?
Shas Torah Council Divided on How to Deal with Eli Yishai – They are missing the mark. They need to ponder how to deal with Deri, an ex-prisoner, who has driven Yishai [with no criminal record] to the unfortunate position he found himself in.
