Jeff Leb was recently named Managing Director for Government and External Relations at UJA-Federation of New York. Mr. Leb will report to Elana Broitman, Senior Vice President for Agency Relations.
UJA-Federation’s Government and External Relations department is active in New York City, Albany and in Washington DC, advocating for a variety of issues and concerns throughout New York State.
“I am very excited to join UJA-Federation of New York which touches the lives of over 4.5 million people both here in New York and in 70 countries around the world. I look forward to working with the Government and External Relations team to advocate on issues of importance to the community and am honored to serve with the incredible leadership at UJA-Federation” said Leb.
“With his deep policy and legislative experience, Jeffrey will be a great asset to UJA-Federation in his work developing and implementing our government and external relations strategy, including efforts to maximize government funding for programs operated by our network of agencies. This is critical work for the communities we serve as over the years, UJA-Federation’s government relations department has successfully helped leverage and secure hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for network agencies, including for educational programming, children at risk, people with disabilities and the elderly,” said Broitman.

Please take out the word Jewish from UJA.
Silly comment, UJA does much for the community including the frum. Their CEO is Orthodox and now Mr. Leb. They work more in the frum communities in the past years and it seems will continue to do so moving forward. Millions if dollars poured into frum communities after Hurricane Sandy.
#2, my rav told me one CANNOT use masser money for UJA or of its affiliated orgs, off its crazy couple hundred million budget, 1 million goes to frum causes, the rest to “minority” “disenfranchised” “low income” “disadvantaged” populations. It does NOT represent the frum velt whatsoever, lehavdil Cardinal Dolan shares more of our values.
