After The Movement party leader Tzipi Livni announced her alignment with the Labor party, MK Elazar Stern signals he may follow suit. Livni made the announcement in a nationally televised media event alongside Labor opposition party leader Yitzchak Herzog. Polls show the combined slate will earn Labor more seats than Likud if elections were held today.
Stern explains that he is not angry as Livni for her move and hopes that perhaps he will receive one of the guaranteed slots Labor is giving The Movement party on the Labor ticket. As per that agreement, The Movement will receive three slots on the Labor lineup, two in the first ten. Those slots will go to Livni and former Minister Amir Peretz.
Stern adds he does not rule out moving to a different party as it is reported he has bene negotiating with unspecified parties about shifting over. Polls show that The Movement would not pass the minimum threshold in the upcoming elections if it ran independently.

Hardly a Surprise
Perhaps some commentors here will show growing remorse for their misleading of the public
or would that be asking too much?

MK Gafne has been telling anyone who will listen that UTJ is completely open to joining a Labor coalition. If Labor is kosher enough for UTJ it should be kosher enough for MK Stern. And if he should join Labor he will, hopefully, strive to improve it.
A distinguished rav told me that Gafne makes alot of tumult, but in the end he comes round to do what’s right
