btrA fire in a manhole in the lower part of Manhattan is causing problems on a subway line.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the fire south of West Fourth Street on Thursday evening caused damage to signal power cables. That affected service on the A, C, and E lines, as well as the B, D, F, M and R lines. The MTA says the delays could impact the morning commute on Friday.
