The cabinet on Sunday 22 Kislev is expected to give its stamp of approval to Major-General Gadi Eizenkott to become the 21st IDF chief of staff. Eizenkott has cleared all the other hurdles and after receiving cabinet approval, he will begin the transition process with IDF IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz and assume command of the military on February 15, 2015.
