Kahlon: Get Rid of the VAT Tax on Water First

kahUsing his Facebook page to get the message out, Moshe Kahlon was asked to state his opinion on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s call to remove value added tax from basic food items. The prime minister was relating to the 18% VAT on these items.

Kahlon stated that he supports anything that can ease the burden on taxpayers and if this is doable, he backs it as well.

However, he preferred to ask the prime minister a question, asking why he does not first remove the 18% value added tax that his administration added to water costs. “First return what you took away” Kahlon told the prime minister.
