After Yair Lapid used the media to accuse Likud of cutting a deal with the chareidi parties, Likud officials on Tuesday 10 Kislev responded, pointing out that it was Lapid and his Yesh Atid party that attempted to woo the chareidi parties and failed.
In a harsh statement Likud officials told the media “Yair Lapid failed miserably in handling the nation’s economy. He humiliated and failed in his effort to lure the chareidim to join his putsch plot against the prime minister. Lapid continues to lash out and threaten to undermine the government in which he serves and concoct a political deal with Tzipi Livni – all from a narrow political interest, the old fashioned ugly type. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu operates with a broad general vision for the good of the people and the nation and one cannot continue with disorderly and irresponsible behavior in his government”.
The statement continues “Lapid prevent passing a responsible defense budget required by the IDF and torpedoes the establishment of the Negev IDF city while advancing his Zero VAT Bill which is tantamount to throwing sand in one’s eyes for it will not lower housing costs…”
