Shuvu Banim Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Eliezer Berland was taken to a hospital in Holland on Sunday morning 8 Kislev. The rav spent Shabbos with hundreds of chassidim, many from N. America, ahead of this week’s expected verdict by a local court regarding an Israeli extradition request against him.

It would appear the rabbi’s condition is not too serious as chassidim report he was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, not an ambulance. He was complaining of extremely severe leg pain.

Rabbi Berland has been avoiding arrest for over 18 months, having traveled to a number of countries including Morocco and Zimbabwe.
