A fire damaged a Pickwick apartment building early Shabbos morning in Baltimore.
The apartment complex is home to many frum families and Baruch Hashem, only minor injuries were reported.
Residents in the area were awoken to sounds of fire trucks and ambulance sirens. The complex is directly across from Rabbi Berger’s Kol Torah shul.
The fire broke out on the third floor and spread to the roof at 2701 Jenner Drive around 4:45 a.m., fire officials said. Some flames also spread to 2703 Jenner Drive, which was vacant.
All residents were able to leave the apartment building. Three elderly people were treated for minor injuries.
The fire was under control by 6 a.m., fire officials said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Thank you to the S family for being the Heros of the night! Everyone is out and safe to your credit!
One of the apartments were broken in to and looted…
How we take certain things for granted, such as Life and on much smaller note, a roof over our head!

I created an account with YW just to respond –
I have no idea where this rumor originated, but it didn’t come from anyone who lives (lived) in that building, or any of the restoration or city workers. It is completely untrue.
Please, people, don’t spread rumors – it’s bad enough that six families don’t have where to live for the time being, and that so much was lost.
Reply to all:
The management company and/or the restoration company refused entry to all tenants until several days after the fire. Every tenant has been robbed and valuables were taken. If you don’t believe it, feel free to call the Baltimore City Police NW District at 410-396-2466, and ask for copies of the police reports. See here:
