Newly-appointed Minister of the Interior Gilad Erdan announced on Sunday Rosh Chodesh Kislev that ministry is revoking the permanent residency status of Mahmud Nadi, who drove the suicide bomber that carried out the Dolphinarium Disco attack in Tel Aviv on a Friday night in June 2001. 21 people were murdered in that attack that left over 100 injured.
Nadi was tried for his role in the heinous suicide bombing attack and sentenced to ten years imprisonment as an accomplice in murder and terror.
Erdan’s move results in the convicted terrorist losing all rights and privileges enjoyed by Israeli ID card holders. He explains he plans to work hard to revoke the status of others like Nadi, explaining “one cannot be a permanent resident and attack citizens”.
