President Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday night the eve of 20 Marcheshvan made a shiva visit to the family of terror victim Shalom Aaron Ba’adani HY”D, 17, who was killed in the vehicular terror attack on Route 1 in Yerushalayim last week. A border police officer was killed in the attack and Aaron was critically wounded. He succumbed to his massive injuries in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on erev Shabbos Parshas Vayera.
President Reuven Rivlin said, “As a son of Jerusalem, I have come to offer my deepest sympathy. Dear family, we have endured so many hardships during our history, and even today, with sovereignty over Jerusalem, we experience the harassment and terror wrought against innocent people, which exacts a heavy price.
“All the security forces are doing everything within their power to safeguard the well-being of our citizens, just as in the difficult times of war, and in every situation, we have to make sure that the Jewish state is a state which maintains the law, making it possible to live in.”
The niftar was a grandson of Rabbi Shimon Ba’adani Shlita, a member of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Hatorah.
