MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi has become a polished outspoken advocate of PA (Palestinian Authority) rights, commonly found at the forefront of legislation to advance Ramallah’s agenda. Tibi abandoned a medical career to serve as a personal advisor to the late Yasser Arafat and has been working to advance those goals since, today using Israel’s parliamentary system to advance his goals.

The Knesset Channel interviewed Dr. Tibi, who now accuses Israel and the IDF of exceeding its authority with constant incursions into Ramallah to arrest PA residents suspected of terrorism. The MK states very matter-of-factly that if there is no peace in Ramallah and Gaza, the same situation would result in Tel Aviv and Haifa, hinting at the recent escalation of Arab violence and terror attacks.

“One cannot be an occupying force and sit back and drink espresso and speak about just how difficult and unpleasant the Palestinians are and refuse to permit us to live in quiet. If there is no security in Ramallah there will be no security in Tel Aviv. If there is no security in Gaza there will not be security in Haifa…The IDF comes in and out as it pleases and decides a person is wanted and fires at him. The IDF has a god gene and feels it can do it pleases” Dr. Tibi told the Knesset Channel.

In a similar vein, MK (Balad) Basel Ghattas in a Knesset plenum session called Bayit Yehudi leader Minister Naftali Bennett “A terrorist” during a session addressing the increase in Arab terrorism.
