A 7 to 1 vote was taken to remove the religious holidays from the Montgomery County Schools 2015-2016 calendar. This after Muslim leaders requested school officials add Eid al-Adha, an Islamic holiday, to the school schedule. Jewish students and other religions will still have their holidays off.
The new calendar will not mention religious observances by name. As for Muslim holidays, school officials said there just isn’t enough of a student and faculty absentee impact to grant them.

Big deal. Nothing changed except they don’t put the names of the holiday on the calendar they print. The schools are still closed on the Jewish holiday like always. No reason for anyone to get bent out of shape.
So they didn’t just remove Jewish holidays. They removed ALL holidays.
Misleading headline – again.
Since when do Frum Yidden care about a Goyishe Calendar?
ujm,
no, its diferrent if school is closed than if a kid misses school (obviously the schoolwork)
