The Vaad Yeshivos convened on Sunday 16 Marcheshvan for the first time in a year. The meeting was held in the home of Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita. During the meeting, the decision was made to bring new members on board.

The meeting was opened by Chairman Rabbi Chaim Aaron Kaufman, who briefed the rabbonim on the situation today vis-à-vis the effort to draft bnei Torah into the IDF or national service. Rav Shteinman then addressed the forum, as did other members of the vaad.

The decision was made to add new members to the vaad, including Rosh Yeshivas Chevron Givat Mordechai Rabbi Faberstein, Rosh Yeshivas Mir Brechfeld Rabbi Aryeh Finkel, Rosh Yeshivas Slobodka Rabbi Dov Landau, Rosh Yeshivas Slonim Rabbi Moshe Borzovsky
