Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich arrived in Tel Aviv not long after the stabbing attack at the Haganah Street train station. A border policeman, Yissocher ben Michal sustained very serious stab wounds in that attack. He underwent emergency surgery in Tel Hashomer Hospital. The terrorist was apprehended and taken into custody.

Area residents were not pleased to see the minister, shouting he has failed to provide security for citizens of Israel. Many citizens are angry over what they feel is the police department’s failure to properly address the increasing Arab attacks and terrorism around areas of Israel.
