Hamas has learned the lessons of Operation Protective Edge, Israel’s counter-terrorism offensive in Gaza during the summer. Hamas is building a people’s army and has already successfully trained and certified 2,500 reservists. A special ceremony was held for the reservists upon completion of their training and they will be a part of the force that will assist Hamas in its battle for Yerushalayim.

Hamas in Gaza reports that person 20 and over may join its people’s army, including older persons. Hamas has stepped up its rocket testing in Gaza, as well as its tunnel network. Due to the shortage of cement, the terrorists are now manufacturing blocks made from dirt in Gaza to support walls of their smuggling tunnels.

Ynet quotes a Hamas spokesman who states that despite the war being waged against the administration by Egypt, and the security buffer zone being built in Rafiach, Hamas is not experiencing a shortage in ammunition.
