In another recording released by Channel 10 News, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is heard accusing former Prime Minister Ehud Barak of giving millions of dollars in bribery money.

As Shula Zaken continues her testimony as state witness in the trial against Ehud Olmert, portions that are not prohibited from publication by a gag order are making their way to the media spotlight. The latest recording now seems to tie Ehud Barak to illegal activities as well

Olmert:

I have ad Audi that is 12 cylinders and six liters. Its weighs 5 tons, a tank but what a car – with a digital TV and it is larger than a Mercedes.

Zaken:

Audi is some car.

Olmert:

It is jealousy and that is why I am driving in an Audi A8. This crazy one wants it but it will end with prison. Remember what I am telling you Shula.

Zaken:

I know? Everyone will pay, not just him.

Olmert:

The head of the Mossad met with me – they all come to me- he takes bribes in the millions and tens of millions. I dealt in weapons manufactured by Israel. Everyone is talking about this.

Zaken:

Where is the money?

Olmert:

He is hiding it in Switzerland or somewhere else, an attorney’s office…he is moving it to a company in which Barak’s name is not associated.

Responding to Channel 10 airing portions of the recording, Barak released a stated “There is no bribery. This does not even deserve a response and especially in these days. One does not attack a man during his difficult time”.
