Subscribers of the Cellcom and Golan cellular companies on Thursday, 13 Marcheshvan, found themselves cut off, not just from the internet but calls as well.
The major outage began at about 12:30 as call centers began receiving complaints citing difficulties making outgoing calls and connecting to the internet. It appears the technical outage is on the Golan system but since it uses the Cellcom network, it has effected many Cellcom subscribers as well. Many clients report they still were able to send SMS text messages.
Golan released a message to the media taking responsibility for the outage and promising subscribers that everything possible is being done to restore service. As of 15:00, the service was not yet restored.

Fantastic. It is so frustrating, but I thought my phone was kaput so I am glad it’s on their end. Golan is the worst but it does give me more free calls overseas which is why I stick with them & hope my calls go through.
