Gush Etzion Vehicular Attack May Have Been an Accident

i

After the driver of the vehicle that struck and seriously injured three IDF soldiers in Gush Etzion on Wednesday night the eve of 13 Marcheshvan turned himself over to police, authorities now believe it may not have been an act of terrorism but an accident.

The driver is a resident of Beit Iva in the Southern Hebron Hills district. Police report he admitted to his actions, telling them striking the three soldiers was an unintentional act. The Arab media reports IDF troops were in the family home and arrested the father of the driver.

Police explain that the information they have gathered now leads them to believe it was a hit and run, not an act of terror. It should be noted this is an early stage in the investigation and the statement is by no means a final determination.

  1. Yeah, whatever. It is not so easy to drive erratically like that through that checkpoint. My theory (sorry for having become a total cynic)- they arrested his father. He has more to lose (his life through an honor killing for allowing his father to get arrested) than by turning himself in and pleading it was an accident and being dealt with by this comparatively compassionate court system.

  2. that’s not what the security camera video shows!it shows the car veering to hit them and then not even slowing down after they were hit and flying in the air!!!IT WAS Obviously purposeful-what game are the police playing????
