The following was just released to YWN by the NYC Health Dept:
The City is announcing today that, after a careful physician review, one individual under quarantine because of contact with Dr. Craig Spencer – the patient being treated for Ebola at Bellevue Hospital – will now be subject to direct active monitoring.
Information obtained in a thorough review with the quarantined individual by a senior New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene official on Friday, October 31st affirmed that the individual’s exposure was not consistent with how Ebola is transmitted. Because the individual poses no public health threat, daily movements will no longer be restricted by health officials. The individual will be assessed twice each day by Health Department staff.

For the hundredth time- only healthcare workers should be allowed to fly to Ebola stricken countries. When they return they should be quarantined for 21 full days.
Wake up people! The government is not going to protect us. They have got to be the most incompetent pack of fools ever known to mankind.
