In a response to the murder of a three month old baby on Wednesday evening in a Jerusalem terror attack, MK Moshe Feiglin said that at the Knesset Interior Committee meeting on 17 Av (August 13) he had warned that lack of police response to Arab violence on Har Habayis would eventually lead to the murder of Jews .

“For years,” said Feiglin, “Israel has been deceiving itself into thinking that it can manage the height of the flames on Har Habayis without restoring its control there. But this approach breeds even more terror. The Hamas violence that goes unchecked on Har Habayis dangerously undermines Israel’s existence. The sense of victory that we allow our enemies to feel in the heart of our capital fans the flames of their hope to defeat us – and encourages them and all their allies around the world to continue their efforts to destroy us.”

Invoking the words of the poet of castigation and faith, Uri Tzvi Greenberg, Feiglin continued, “He who controls the Mount controls the Land’. The way to protect our babies in Jerusalem and throughout Israel is to re-establish Israeli control of Har Habayis.”

It must be noted that Gedolei Hador Shlita today and in the past have prohibited visiting Har Habayis. This is and has also been the position of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.
