PA (Palestinian Authority) leader Abu Mazen (Abbas) announced on Friday 23 Tishrei that “settlers” have no right or claim to Har Habayis, which he stated is “our sacred place”. Israel Radio reported the PA leader added the presence of “settlers” on Har Habayis is a desecration.
The PA leader stated Har Habayis is home to al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest site. He calls on his people to unite in the struggle to protect and defense Har Habayis. He added “Jerusalem is the crown” and he is confident it will one day be the capital of the Palestinian state.

One of the mistakes that Israel did back in 1967 was not throwing then out of Har Habayis and destroying their mosques while we had the chance. That’s what they would have done if the roles were reversed. We were showing the world that we were a civilized nation.Look what it’s gotten us.
@Chicago Maven – With all due respect, but in this one area I don’t think you are a maven. There was/is/will be little we could do to, through military or political moves, that would have changed or could change the situation. HKB”H made us promise that we will not take the Holy Land by force. When, and only when, He is ready to give it to us will we once again have it. I think we should allow the Palestinians to have sovereignty over the har habayis for the sake of peace
