Mayor Bill de Blasio says New York City’s health care system has been preparing for weeks for any Ebola cases — with an emphasis on safety.
De Blasio emphasized Monday that there are no known cases of Ebola in New York City.
But he says Bellevue Hospital is in a “high state of readiness,” just in case.
Bellevue said it evaluated two patients on Monday morning and quickly determined they did not have the virus. It noted that hospitals will be using “enhanced security and an abundance of caution” when reviewing questionable cases.
Says the mayor: “We are ready for anything.”
