Eretz Yisroel: Large Sukkas to Serve Yomtov Hikers & Travelers


sukThe Israel Nature & Parks Authority is building large sukkas around Israel to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of people who will be on the road during Chol Hamoed. The authority plans to set up large sukkas in 27 locations nationwide. In addition, the Ministry of Religious Services http://dat.gov.il/ will be supplying tables and chairs in the sukkas in addition to water faucets and natlas (wash cups) to wash netilas yodayim.

Some of the locations where the sukkas will be in place are:

North:

Banyas, Yehodiya, Nachal Snir, Tel Dan, Tziyun of Rabbi Yochanan ben Uziel (Amuka), Tziyun of Rabbi Akiva (Tiveria), the Cave of Eliyahu (Haifa), R’ Yehuda ben Alai (Tzfas), Beit Shearim National Park (Ramat Yishai Jct.), Gamla, Choreshet Tal, Chola, Achziv National Park.

Center:

Apulonia National Park (Herzliya), Apek Park (Yarkon), Caesarea National Park.

Jerusalem Region:

Ein Porat Nature Reserve, Ein Chemed National Park, Kever Shmuel HaNavi, Herodian National Park (Har Choma).

Southern District:

Inut Tzukim Reserve, Ein Gedi, Kumaron National Park, Ashkelon National Park, Beit Jubrin, Eshkol National Park (Dimona area).

Deputy Minister of Religious Services Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan proudly announced “we are bringing religious services to you around the country,” explaining the ministry is working hard to enhance Chol Hamoed for Yomtov hikers and travelers nationwide.
