Ichud (United) Hatzalah officials report two people sustained serious injuries riding a bicycle and skateboard on Yom Kippur. In another call, a child fell from a rooftop in Betar Illit and another fell from a third story window in Bnei Brak. In addition, five women delivered babies in their homes. An Ichud Hatzalah ambucycle was stolen on Yom Kippur from Yerushalayim while an EMT was treating a woman who did not feel well in a shul on Jabotinsky Street.
The EMS organization reports that dozens of persons were treated for injuries that they incurred while bike riding. In Haifa, a 12-year-old boy that was on a bike fell about six meters. He was treated by Ichud and Magen David Adom personnel and transported to a local hospital unconscious. In Modi’in, a father who was on a skateboard scooter fell and sustained a serious head injury. He was transported to a local hospital by MDA paramedics.
In Betar Illit, a 6-year-old boy fell from a rooftop on Yesod HaAvoda Street. He was transported to a hospital with a serious head injury. In Bnei Brak, a 2-year-old fell from a window. The child was treated on the scene and transported to Tel Hashomer Hospital. The five home births were in Bnei Brak (2), Jerusalem (1), Kiryat Gat (1) and Herzliya (1).
