It was a stormy session of the Knesset Finance Committee as MK Moshe Gafne verbally attacked committee chairman MK Nissim Slomiansky of the Bayit Yehudi party.
The session was held on Tuesday 6 Tishrei. The session included approving 2 million shekels for the Hebron Jewish community. MK Yaakov Asher requested an explanation as to why the large sum was allocated to Hebron. He asked why a community with 300 residents receives 2 million shekels, questioning the justification for such an allocation.
This was however only the beginning. Asher’s concerns were overshadowed by his colleague Gafne, who directed his anger at Slomiansky. “You are not partners with us in any way, not in Torah or anything! All the money is allocated to you. I can prove this case by case…”
Gafne continued, “If you think we are going to assist you forget about it. Hook up with Yair Lapid. Make deals with him. Tell him which talmidim from abroad to accept and which to reject. There is now criteria for a kollel for women. You guys simply stole the money…”
Gafne explained the dati leumi community is receiving more than any other sector in the State of Israel. “You no longer have the chareidi community – forget about it” he exclaimed. Gafne added that complaints of the past regarding all the funding being directed to kibbutzim is now applicable to the dati leumi community. Gafne concluded adding the chareidi community will no longer back the dati leumi community in the future.

IF Bayit Yehudi decides to oppose conscription of yeshiva students (whether by ending all conscription, allowing for religious and conscientious objection, whatever…), the hareidi parties will gladly support them.
What a crybaby. So it was ookay for them to participate the the destruction and expulsion of Gush Katif receiving $ in participation for the crime and now when the Dati-Leumi are in the government and are receiving the money (not in an illegal way) he wants to and needs to cry about it?
When was UTJ ever with the Dati-Leumi? Haredim often put down Dati-Leumi. I see and saw this with my own eyes. Its part of the Haredi system and they don’t consider us as Torah Jews.
Well of course. Bayit Yehudi & Ain Atid stabbed the Chareidim in the back. Why should they bail either one out? I guess that leaves just the left to hook up with.

As opposed to the way the Charedi MK’s had the DL community’s back before the Gaza pullout.

The Chareidi MK’s have been stabbing the DL community in the back all along. Bottom line, whoever is in charge has a funding advantage. Get over it Gafne, you’ve done this in reverse for years. Boo Hoo!
These are two groups that should always have been united. When the Chareidi group had the upper hand, they ignored everyone else.
Is Gafne saying that Chevron isn’t important and doesn’t have legit. needs? If so, he is no Torah Jew, though his usual behavior makes me question that anyway.
