An IDF drone crashed in Lebanon during a routine flight on Shabbos. The crash is attributed to a technical malfunction of the unit. The crash occurred in the area of Marjaayoun, an area in southern Lebanon close to the border with Israel. The IDF is looking into possibly getting the remains of the craft back.
The report of the crash was released on Shabbos by Hizbullah’s al-Manar TV. IDF officials later confirmed the report, adding the craft was not shot down but crashed due to technical malfunction.

Was is really necessary to send the drone on Shabbos? Perhaps the crash indicates otherwise.
Aren’t all Israeli drones programmed to self-destruct when either captured or crash?
