A Ynet report released by Kobi Nachshoni may be the cause of Rabbi Aryeh Stern being disqualified from the upcoming race for Jerusalem Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi. Rabbi Stern, the dati leumi candidate, is viewed as the likely winner of the race. He is competing against the chareidi candidate Rabbi Eliyahu Schlesinger.
According to the report, Rabbi Stern does not have a written recognized certificate of ordination, a prerequisite for eligibility to enter the race. It remains to be seen if an acceptable document will be produced or if Rabbi Schlesinger will be unopposed in the race as a result of Rabbi Stern’s candidacy being disqualified.

Maybe he got his smicha in Hawaii, you know where what’s-his-name got his birth certificate!
Well, all he has to do is what President Obama did: be open and forthcoming and producing all his paperwork immediately when challenged, like his college credits, his full birth certificate, the law reviews he wrote when he was president of Harvard’s law review periodical, and so on.
