Yiftach Rappaport, 8, was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing in an authorized crosswalk in a parking lot of the Tzafit School in Kibbutz Kfar Menachem on Tuesday morning 21 Elul. The child was struck by a bus transporting children as he crossed in an authorized area in the kibbutz, which is located near Kiryat Malachi.
Police report the parking area is for buses and it appears the bus driver began heading out and he did not see the child. The investigation is ongoing.
