Travel agents are reporting a decline in the number of Yidden heading to Uman for Rosh Hashanah. They believe this is the result of ongoing fighting in the Ukraine. Some are predicting 10% fewer mispallalim will travel to Uman for Rosh Hashanah due to the uncertainty associated with such a trip today.
Others are more optimistic. They explain that those accustomed to traveling to Rav Nachman for Rosh Hashanah will do so this year, admitting those who were thinking of making their first trip may not due to the fighting.

Gaza tourism is really down as well. But if you want a hotel room in Iraq and Syria, the selection is excellent (walls and roofs may be optional).
This means fewer Uman widows on RH. Is this a bad thing?
Let those men stay home and daven with their families. Spending so much for travel is outrageous, especially as many going cannot afford it.
