The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who is wanted in connection to a robbery which occurred in the Flatbush / Midwood section of Brooklyn (70 Precinct).
On Tuesday, September 9th, at approximately 2:50PM, an unidentified suspect followed and approached a male victim from behind while walking on the corner of Bay Avenue and Ocean Avenue. The suspect then grabbed the 57-year-old male’s arm and removed his wallet from his rear pants pocket. The victim’s wallet contained credit cards and approximately $1,000 in cash. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a male Black who was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray shorts, black sneakers and walking with his mountain bike.
Video of the suspect following the victim is attached.

There are 2 figures in the video – one walking with a bicycle, one walking with a white cane and swinging it side to side as he/she walks, in the manner of a blind person. Is the victim in the video, and if so, why did YWN not report that the victim appears to be blind. Is this part of some new political correctness, or just sloppy reporting?
Why doesn’t the article mention the victim is blind? When I read it I wondered how anyone could get away with this.

Are you blind ?!?….The suspect is walking side by side with the blind man. The cover up is to protect his identity and the footage is of the suspect walking in the vicinity of the crime location. Apparently they dont have footage of the crime, or else the would have shown it.
This is outrageous.
How this bicycle walking loon can fall so low to steal from someone with difficult seeing is beyond me. How is the victim even supposed to defend himself?
It hurts to see such a lack of decency and loss of respect for fellow human beings demonstrated by these perps.
And now we know why blacks got stopped and frisked.
