The race for NY State Assembly District 45 is over, and the winner is 7-term incumbent Steve Cymbrowitz, who has defeated Ben Akselrod.
Sources tell YWN that the overwhelming support of the Sephardic community pushed Cymbrowitz to his victory. He made special mention of this in his victory speech on Tuesday night.
The final results were:
Steven Cymbrowitz 2,137 57.2%
Ben Akselrod 1,599 42.8%
