Mekubal Rav Yaakov Adas led a protest and the recitation of slichos outside IDF Prison 6. Rav Adas explains that the tzibur is compelled to protest against the government policies regarding efforts to draft chareidim into the IDF. The rav and his followers were outside the prison at midnight on Tuesday 14 Elul (Tuesday to Wednesday morning). Dozens of people took part in the event.
They began by singing ברוך אלוקינו and אל תירא, then reciting tefilos. Rav Adas explained “We are here to show the world that we stand behind each and every bochur, the rabbonim and the tzibur at large – those being hounded because of the military draft”.
In his words of chizuk Rav Adas added “We will not compromise on a single bochur and there will be absolutely no compromise regarding the awful draft. In addition to a holy war against the draft we must be mispallel to Heavenly Gates to block the harsh gezeira.”

Zionist hareidim do serve in the army, and arresting yeshiva students makes it harder for them to join the army.
The army has no desire to conscript non-zionists who would tell their fellow soldiers that there is no mitsvah to have a war with the Arabs. Most countries try to keep such people as far away from the army as possible.
