The news spread in Bnei Brak on Monday morning 13 Elul, the petira of Rebitzen Chana Shteinman, a daughter of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita and daughter-in-law of Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita.

The nifteres suffered from an illness for a long period and of later her condition deteriorated and she was admitted to Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital. Her condition worsened during the 24 hours preceding her petira. HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita davened at the Kosel on Monday morning due to the severity of her condition.

Close to 9 AM, with the family in the room, her neshama left this world at the age of 61. The levaya will take place in Bnei Brak beginning at 1:30 PM from the Lederman Shul on Rashbam Street.

Rav Kanievsky instructed the aveilim to sit shiva in his home on Rashbam Street.
