16:50 IL: Unfortunately police’ fears were not unfounded as widespread Arab rioting is taking place in the Wadi Joz area of Yerushalayim.

YWN-ISRAEL reported earlier that an Arab teenager taking part in rioting on erev Shabbos died of his injuries. This has been used as the latest excuse for Arabs in the eastern capital to launch riots. Last week light rail service in the Shuafat area was suspended when rioting resumed in the predominately Arab area of the capital.

There are no injuries being reported in the ongoing rioting. Police have closed area roads to prevent motorists from heading into the midst of the violence.

A Jewish man was injured by rocks hurled at him earlier by Arabs in that area. He was treated by MDA and transported to a local hospital.
