While Tel Aviv City Hall has taken steps to get increasingly serious about recycling, sorting one’s trash seems to be a futile exercise as sanitation workers are seen dumping the different color bins into the same trucks. Photos have been taken of workers dumping the blue bins intended for paper recycling in the trucks with regular trash.
In fact, recycling paper has been ongoing in many cities in Israel over recent years and some cities including Yerushalayim are working to increase recycling efforts, signaling an increased ecological awareness.
The experts explain that paper recycling is particularly important towards reducing the number of trees that are cut down annually.
Perturbed residents question why the city bothers putting out separate bins for paper recycling when sanitation workers dump everything together.

“Perturbed residents”…I would think that they would try to do their part regardless.
If they are truly “perturbed” they should continue complaining to the city that the sanitation workers are making mistakes.
Don’t look for “excuses.”
