The Slonim Rebbe Shlita has instructed his chassidim to ignore draft orders from the IDF, including the first order. Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita has instructed his followers to respond to the first order and only fill out personal information, nothing more. HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach Shlita feels that bochrim and avreichim should not respond to any draft orders, including the first one, of the same opinion of the Slonim Rebbe.
With the opening of the new zman Rosh Yeshivas Slonim HaGaon Rav Moshe Brozovsky, a son of the rebbe, told talmidim in the rebbe’s name that no one should report to any IDF draft center. He explained that some bochrim have a weaker composition and may be taken in chas v’sholom. He added if bochrim are permitted to report as a group and not individually, then they may do so regarding the first order only.
The rebbe’s instructions are pertinent to talmidim and avreichim alike and pertain to the special chareidi induction center in Tel Hashomer as well regular induction centers.

Each bachur goes through a spiritual torture. He gets CHECKED physically by men AND/OR women with loads of nivul peh for MANY HOURS. A spiritual Gehenom and a spiritual Auschwitz for the eyes and ears of these pure souls. What parents and educators invest spiritually throughout the years for these young boys gets wiped out within this 1 visit to the draft centers. No wonder why the Slonimer Rebbe shlit”a refuses to allow his followers to report at these tamei places. HASHEM YISHMERENU!
The principle is opposition to conscription in the zionist (Israeli) army. Even if the zionists were totally polite, the halachic issue is the same. Rudeness is not the issue.
Has the Rebbe notified his chasidim thAt they should not take any money from the governmen? Is he joining Aida and taking money from the Satmars?
To #3: As Arye wrote correctly, this has nothing to do with money; and remember we too are paying tax and are entitled to have our education subsidsed with our tax-money.
It is not just the Slonimer Rebbe; all real gedoilim have forbidden joining the army.
