An Oregon teenager who carved a swastika into another teen’s forehead as he and others tortured the boy has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.
In a Portland courtroom Thursday, 16-year-old Blue Kalmbach told the victim in a quiet voice that he was sorry for his actions.
Kalmbach was the last of four teenagers to be sentenced in the case.
Police and prosecutors say the teens spent the evening before the February attack sketching out ideas for torturing the 17-year-old victim. Before Kalmbach carved the swastika, they shot the victim with a BB gun, hit with him a bat and forced him to eat cat feces.
The victim did not address the court, and bangs covered his forehead. His mother says the scar mostly has healed, but her son has nightmares.
The Associated Press generally does not identify victims of violent crimes.

It would be cheaper to feed this Oregon teenager with cat feces and put a swastika {e.g. tattoo of a Mogen Dovid} on his forehead than maintain him in an air-conditioned prison for 11 years.
Yir’eh Ad SheYistaev would be more fitting. Handcuff him, put a noose around his neck keep him in a secluded, deserted land and feed him once a day by way of a bowl of cat food on the ground!
disgusting hate crime. the kid deserves sitting in jail for many years.
