Update: 23: 43: Israel has confirmed the extension of the ceasefire and will participate in another round of discussions. The ceasefire will be extended for another 24 hours.
Update 23:41: Channel 2 is reporting that a Hamas officials and a Palestinian delegate have agreed to a 24 hour extension of the ceasefire. Israel is yet to release a statement.
Update 23:30: There are various reports coming out of Cairo. Hamas deputy political chief Moussa Abu Marzouk has released on his Facebook page that Israel has rejected the proposal from Egypt. He warns any further delay will not be accepted by Hamas and Hamas will cancel any ceasefire that is in effect. However Al Jazera is reporting that a 24 extension of the ceasefire has been agreed upon. Israel has not confirmed either way. Stay with YWN as details are emerging.
With the current ceasefire expiring at midnight, the rhetoric is once again heating up. Talks have been convening in Cairo, Egypt to reach a long term deal that will ensure peace between Israel and the Islamic terrorist organization, Hamas.
Channel 2 is reporting that Hamas said they will not extend the ceasefire after it’s expiration. However Islamic Jihad has said they will continue the peace talks and extend the ceasefire terms. There are multiple demands that are in dispute and of which Hamas will not waiver on. Israel feels that the demands are just ploys of the terrorist organization to boost their arms inventory and rearm for the next confrontation.
Some of the demands in dispute are an airport, sea port, and open borders. Meanwhile, Egypt has been pressuring both sides to cool the rhetoric and remain at the negotiation table. Stay with YWN as we continue following this developing situation as the ceasefire ends in just a few hours.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU STATE OF ISRAEL KEEP ON WAITING TO MAKE PEACE WITH THEM HOW MUCH MORE JEWISH BLOOD NEEDS TO BE SPILLED TILL THE STATE OF ISRAEL REALIZES THAT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN
I might be convinced to remain a non-participating member to a discussion in which the other party was illiterate and non-verbal. The Palestinian factions have the outward trappings of humanity and capacity to be verbal. However, they respond to nothing besides the sword. They only take to the sword, and they only respond to it. Until Israel fulfills its mission of “Hashkem vehorgo”, there cannot be peace. Perhaps it saves on the military budget to sit at a table with Egyptian “negotiators”, but the time and efforts are wasted. I hate to think of placing our chayalim in harm’s way, but nothing has been accomplished if any of Hamas are left alive.
Dear caring Jew. Sorry to be harsh but you are stuck in an ancient box thinking that the “State of Israel” is to demonized at every opportunity. Hashem wants his children back in Eretz Yisroel and we are all responsible to make it happen and make this country the greatest country in the world Bruchniyus & Bgashmiyus. The fact that the Gov’t is not Shomer Toah uMitzvos is sad but irrelevant. Bad mouthing them is not going to make it any better and it just sounds like a repeat of Byis Sheni….
We are living in a repeat of Dor Meraglim and Dor Ezra where people think that “its too hard to live in EY” or “my life / ruchniyus is better here”.
Wake up and see Antisemitism rising all over the world, soon the only place for a yid will be in EY. Out of the 13 million Jews worldwide ke”h over 6 million have already come home.

Your lost my friend. Caring jew said nothing of the sort. Wake up & pay attention to what your reading.
#3: Never thought I’d be agreeing with someone from Lakewood Ir HaKodesh, but you are 100% correct. The nature of the public square in Medinat Yisrael is established by the people who live there. Since so many of our “best and finest” have opted for voluntary galus, to enhance their ruchniyus (?gashmiyus), what you see is what you get. The fault lies entirely with the so called frum who prefer Eretz America to Eretz Yisroel.
All these people that talk against Israel still go there and enjoy the beauty of Eretz Hakodesh-let’s keep davening so we should know no more war
