The Rev. Al Sharpton called the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer in suburban St. Louis a “defining moment for this country.”
Sharpton spoke Sunday at a rally in Ferguson, where days of protest have ended with almost nightly confrontations between police and protesters.
Sharpton says he wants Congress to stop programs that provide military-style weaponry to police departments. He says he expects police to “smear” the slain teenager, his family and his attorneys.
He also condemned the recent spate of violence and looting in Ferguson.

Bill Cunningham on his weekly radio show just now said that USA Today reported the data across the last five years that 94 white police officers have have shot and killed unarmed black males. Across the same 5 years, 40,000 black men were shot and killed by other black men. That is a ratio of over 400 to 1. However, some people ignore the 40,000 and only focus on the 94. Mr. Cunningham asks, “Why is it that a black life only has value if it is snuffed out by a white person?”

AL sharpton should go and drop dead. He does nothing for the black people except stir up trouble.
Really? He expects police to “smear” the slain teenager? The only smearing that’s been done is the smearing of pagonis, the duke lacross team, and the smearing of feces on tawana brawley’s back by this fraud.
This teleprompter reading troublemaker should take his pressed hair and national action network back to harlem.
