In a summation address of Operation Protective Edge, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz explained that Hamas leaders are hiding in bunkers “and we can get them whenever we wish to”.
The IDF commander told the press that “Hamas sustained a major blow, one that comprised all the organization’s components”.
Gantz explained the leaders of Hamas, who remained hidden in bunkers, are starting to emerge and now getting a glimpse of the damage and carnage that was caused in Gaza due to their actions. The responsibility for the widespread destruction rests squarely on the shoulders of Hamas leaders. “I truly hope that the lesson will be learned” added Gantz.
The commander concluded that the IDF is not done and the military stands ready to respond to any future threats and attacks. “If there are future attacks, we will know just how to respond” he concluded.

Well that’s nice but you would be better off doing instead of talking!
The main problem is that you, Benny Gantz and Bibi do no “wish” getting Hamas leaders. You and the rest of Erav Rav prefer “occasional” rockets being fire on Israel to international isolation.
Perhaps it is beyond my understanding, after all I am not a member of the IDF and have never been part of any army.Nevertheless my common sense tells me that if he knows where the terrorists leaders are and can get to them, it’s foolhardy not to. It is compromising the lives of thousands more both Gazans & Israelis. Let’s remember the tzaros King Saul brought upon himself- true there are no direct orders from the Ribono Shel Olam, but all Klal Yisroel’s sufferings and particularly the suffering and killings in Eretz Yisroel should suffice.

Something does not add up here. If the IDF knows where the Hamas leaders are and can “get” them at will, why has the IDF not done so?

They may have decided it’s better to have the current leaders who live in fear of Israel’s retaliation than a new breed of replacement leaders who are still full of bravado.
You have to consider the current Hamas leadership must have a hard time explaining to Gazans how they are all safe while many civilians were killed by their actions. That may be a more useful state than killing them and getting a new bunch of “hero” leaders with battle scars who take their place.
