Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Moshe Amar Shlita was in southern Israel giving chizuk to soldiers who are waiting for the order to enter into Gaza. The former Sephardi Chief Rabbi was received by soldiers and officers alike as he moved to different groups among the many soldiers waiting along the Gaza border. Many were anxious to receive a personal bracha from the rav, as others listened to words of chizuk.

Rav Amar explained he is a shaliach of Am Yisrael to give them a bracha and to be mechazeik them.
