Israel has agreed to the request of Robert Serry, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, to hold a cease-fire for several hours
According to Gaza media outlets, since the launch of Operation Protective Edge, 220 Palestinians were killed and 1,570 have been injured. Maan News reports that 23 people were killed on Wednesday alone.
Ynet is quoting unnamed defense ministry officials which say that Israel accepted the ceasefire as not only for humanitarian needs, but also for the residents of Gaza to see the massive destruction wrought by the IDF strikes.
As of this posting, Hamas has not yet agreed to this ceasefire.

A ceasefire is when BOTH sides agree. If they don’t stop there is no reason we should!
A ceasefire so Hamas can restock, reload, and change locations, to attack Israel better, when the ceasefire is lifted. Danon & Lieberman were on to something. Bibi is a little baby.
a good jew,
that is the thing, if Hamas bombs Israel, Israel will retaliate
Israel! – We love you so much but why are you agreeing to another ceasefire???? Look what happened the other day. You ceased and they proceeded to bombard you. It will never be a two sided agreement. You cannot make deals with terrorist monsters who want every Jew dead – no matter the cost to them. They really don’t care how many of their own ppl die.
ENOUGH giving in to these lame requests! Do what you have to do! Hashem should be with you! We are davening every day for all of you. There should be no more Jewish lives lost!
Well, you have to understand: despite Israel and their friends all over the world celebrating the so called independence day; Israel is not really independent, they must adhere to the dictate of the US/UN.
