Anti-Semitic Graffiti Hits Boro Park Again – Greenfield Thanks NYPD For Responding with Quick Arrests

arrestCouncilman David G. Greenfield thanked the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force and the 66 police precinct for quickly responding with arrests to anti-Semitic graffiti found sprayed across locations near 58th Street and 17thAvenue in Boro Park.

“I am very pleased that the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force has made quick arrests of young punks trying to intimidate our community by scrawling messages of hate. It’s appalling that these guys would come into our neighborhood simply to spread their anti-Semitic views. I trust that they will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for their despicable crimes,” said Councilman David G. Greenfield.

Yesterday, Monday July 14th hateful graffiti, including a swastika, was found inside a home under construction and on the side of a yeshiva school bus parked nearby. Hate Crimes Task Force investigators interviewed the foreman at the site about the graffiti his employees found that read “get out” and “you don’t belong” on different walls within a second floor room of the jobsite. The investigators then spoke with a yeshiva administrator about the bus graffiti. The administrator told the task force that there was yet another incident that occurred inside the yeshiva that was captured by surveillance cameras where a window had been forced open. After reviewing the footage the investigators were able to identify the three perpetrators who were all located and arrested that evening.
