US State Department officials have arrived in Egypt to lay the groundwork for Secretary of State John Kerry, who is set to arrive on Tuesday, 17 Tammuz. America is likely to begin pressuring Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to act as a go-between to negotiate with Israel and Hamas, hoping to set a ceasefire agreement in place.

The Baal Kerry needs to be disinvited to Israel. He will only carry messages aimed at furthering the agenda of the first terrorist lover to inhabit the White House. There will be talks about Israel restraining its activities, while the rockets from Hamas will be legitimized. Obama’s agenda has been crystal clear from the beginning of his first term. It is unlikely to change, and he will never see Hamas fighters as terrorists and aggressors. In reality, he will not truly ask Hamas to stop rockets, although the publicized expression about that will probably be made somewhere. He has proven he really doesn’t mean it. Who is subsidizing the current wave of terror? The weapons might have come from Iran, but the money came from US. Thanks Obama. You have our back, but with a dagger sticking into it.
Let him rest a day or so until he has the strength to do the job.
Then fly in a chopper around and study the terrain and assess the situation. Then he should sit down and an strategies for the imposed -YES, IT WILL BE IMPOSED – ceasefire which ought be declared null & void once the first rocket comes in!
Meanwhile bomb away!
Kerry should hold off until Adar; Certainly he should not be undertaking this venture any time during the 3 weeks.
Thanks Obama. You have our back, but with a dagger sticking into it.
I LIKE THAT…..
Maybe the Baal Kerry should visit Ashkelon or Ashdod to witness first-hand the rocket attacks. And maybe Hamas will have a direct hit…
To Comment #1:
You make some good points.
As Moshe Ya’alon said: Just give the Lurch his Nobel Peace prize already and tell him to bug off.
I think he should come. But that negotiations should start between whomever, in Ashdod or Ashkelon, in an unprotected area, so that if, or rather when, Hamas shoots rockets, they will have to run to a shelter. This will give Mr. Kerry some hands-on experience. After he’s had to run a few times, maybe he will slip and become a light casualty. This will give him something to think about when conducting talks.
This article reports that Mr. Kerry has a proposal for helping stop the launching of rockets into Israel. It might not work. But a number of commenters (e.g., nos. 5 and 7) think Mr. Kerry is unaware of the attacks on Israel by Hamas. They give no reason for their beliefs, from which I conclude that their beliefs are unreasoned and unreasonable.
Commenter no. 1 is just plain wrong about the “first terrorist to inhabit the White House.” His comment is utterly unfounded.
I think most of the comments reflect frustration at the difficulty of the situation, frustration that the IDF cannot stop the rockets, and frustration caused by their mistaken belief that a different US president could solve this problem. This problem has been going on since 1947, in one form or another, and no US president has been able to stop it. Calling the president names, calling the US Secretary of State names (e.g., Lurch) is childish and unhelpful.
